That's nonsense. Has nintendo released anything like Colonial Marines or sonic 06 ? They have highly desirable software on undesirable hardware. Sega on the other hand have been abusing the reognisability of their brands for way too long.

did you miss my sarcasm tag?

Persona 5 needs to survive!

But other than that, so long as they keep their course in PC games, mostly with Reliq and the Creative Assembly I'm okay.

You know, I did the same thing once. Lol.

No I commented because of the "/s". Read my post again.

Sega has no one to blame but themselves. I don't pity or understand publishers that consistently show inconsistency with their release line up of games yet somehow expect things to work out for them. I would have thought that above all else a publisher would know the ramifications of putting out bad games more times than not. But somehow in this industry that doesn't seem to be the case. Its almost as if the people making the major decisions are just completely outta touch with the industry.

Should Sega have made shen mu 3 by now? yes, would they have made more from bayonetta 3 if the weren't multiplat? yes. Would they have a hotly anticipated AAA game on their hands if they had evolved and announced a vanquish 2 game? yes. Should virtual fighter 6 be a thing by now? Yes. But nooooooo, Sega consistently just fuck up and do nothing. Its so obvious all that they should have or could be doing yet here we are.

In their defence, I can imagine that its considerably cheaper and cost less to go digital only. And that doesn't mean they won't make AAA level games, just that those games may never be printed on disc. Let's see what they do with that strategy.

My main point still stands though, and this isn't just to Sega, if any publisher wants to keep their heads above water, then they shouldn't just make games, but they should make games people want and that are at least very good.

Then I think it goes back to them not needing to. Even if they do lose a little money because they need to restart producing consoles, I still think overall 2015 they will be profitable. I just don't see Zelda, Xenoblade, Star Fox, and Splatoon not selling enough over the course of the months they are out not to make Nintendo a profit.

(And Amiibo may make that profit surprisingly much better)

Oh boy....Sega's situation keeps getting worse and worse with each passing year!

Is Sega Finished?

Title Fixed.

Wtf happened to them, once were so great then just a decade of brain farts and they should just die.

So many great franchises that deserve new games being made.

TL;TR
"Trying to make good games is hard and expensive, so lets focus on making crap games for a sure but tiny profit."
