What makes you think that the franchise won't continue to grow larger? After all, MLB 2K is no longer around. (1)

I'm not sure what point you are trying to make when you say The Order is going to "bomb" critically. Also, low 70s isn't an absolute disaster. That is actually average. So, I guess the correct statement is "The Order is going to do average critically". (2) Your hyperbole, however, is not the only issue. You are basing your conclusion on previews on a demo that was 1. running on an incredibly old build and 2. used over and over again. Ready At Dawn likely kept the vast majority of the game under wraps and I appreciate that. Too often, developers spoil too much which significantly diminishes my anticipation. The Order has gone gold, but we have seen very little footage of the game to this point. Who knows? It might be a pleasant surprise to many critics.

first of all, if the show 14 had been a million seller on any single platform, trust me, we would have heard about it. the article you link to is classic pr... it did better than the last one which did at best mediocre sales for what it is. the problem with mlb the show is it's a playstation game and not on any other platform. as for your last bit about 2k not being around... okay? and why do you think that is? maybe, just maybe, because there isn't the same demand for baseball games as there is for (american) football, football/soccer and basketball games. take two realized this and shelved the franchise.

your second point about the order... i believe we've had this conversation before. it is almost certainly going to be average at best, if not an outright disaster. sony hasn't had a single first party game (non-download-only, non-remake) this generation that has scored above an 80. infamous? 80, down 5 from a series high of 85. littlebigplanet 3? 79, down a whopping 16 from a series high. how about their new ip? driveclub, 71, 14 points lower than its competition last year (forza horizon 2, 86) and not even functional for months. how about that inventive 3d action game, knack? oh, 54. ouch.

anyway, the order 1886 looks set to join the "ouch" club, landing somewhere between driveclub and knack. it's an interactive movie which has consistently previewed like shit (as a previous poster remarked). anyway, it's coming in a few weeks, we'll know for sure then, won't we?

Seriously wtf did I just read wtf is your point other than you hate PlayStation, that just takes the cake as far as shitposts go,  I think it's time to step away from the keyboard sir

Alright, actually talking things related to the thread, I hope other PS4 exclusives without confirmed release dates like Tearaway Unfolded and Ratchet & Clank Redux get released in May and/or June. I remember SE confirmed that the PS4 version of FFX/X-2 HD will be out in the spring.

Well shit, youve played all five? Hot damn. How is Below? Looks awesome.

On a more serious note, not to troll, but lol @ holding The Order on any pedestal. Previews have looked nothing short of generic.

Also interesting to see other replies to fireburns post. I guess we have reached the point where indies dont count again. Quicker than i thought.

Previews of The Order have been negative if you've only paid attention to the negative ones. By that logic, I could throw out that Halo 5 has already recieved it's share of negative previews.

Also, I'll bite with The Order, but BloodBorne... If you're even remotely familiar with Demon's Souls and have seen what BloodBorne is offering, then you already know it's gonna be awesome. Plus, there has yet to be a single remotely negative preview for that one.

Negative previews? I am talking the actual game, not the content of people writing the previews :) If a similar situation exists for Halo 5 then by all means.

If we're going by the past, Below is made by Capybara, enough said. And Screamride of course has FD behind the wheel, can't imagine anyone else you'd want making a rollercoaster game.

Both The Order and Bloodborne could turn out to be amazing games. But it's hilarious to see someone just scoffing at the very notion of 2 great looking upcoming games and one stupid rollercoaster game being mentioned in the same breath as two unknown new IP's, especially when one of them is The Order. The OP asked if Xbone has anything "to combat it". If we can just whisk suggestions away just because, then there's not much point in having the thread.

Well it's not a secret anymore that PS4 will get more games this year and more exclusive, good or not, triple a double a, single a, people will not care, as long they can hype the system (giving a decent advertisement). I am sure it will help PS4 sells.

I never said anything about whisking suggestions away. If a game fits in the list, then it fits in. I'm just talking in terms of content and overall quality, BloodBorne and The Order are very likely going to be superior to those other 3. That doesn't somehow make them irrelevant. Just saying that those two paticular games,or at least BloodBorne, are probably going to be great AAA titles. If having confidence in 2 good looking new AAA IP's is wrong, then I don't want to be right.

Will Ratchet & Clank PS4 make it soon too?

You made them irrelevant by saying they don't hold a candle to those other two games. Meaning they don't qualify for what the OP asked. aka irrelevant.

So we're back to the point where indies and downloadable titles aren't worth even a meh looking "AAA" game again? We'll have to remember that for future threads. And this will be funny if Bloodborne sells like 2 million copies worldwide and The Order bombs in reviews. But hey they're AAA, right? I'm done.

So you confirm by your logic that No Man's Sky orr Hellblade hold a candle to Halo 5 and Quantum Break

All by your logic

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Since the thread got somewhat derailed..... I guess the positives that came out is that ps fans can gloat XB1 has no games...... like no exclusives ( regardless of definition) for almost the next 7-8 months

Tearaway will most likely surpass an 80%+ on Metacritic when it releases but this point also applies to MS, hell they're worse off without third parties lol. TF, DR3, SO, FH2 (outsourced?) are all third party exclusives with the MCC being an 87 but tbh it should of gotten a 90% on Metacritic with all the content and the brand name of all them in one package.
