These games are still only demos not even in beta. The games imo would at least acheive ps2 capabilities which is a little over the psp. It's more powerful than the ps2 and gamecube. The only thing I could see hindering its graphics is the lack of a full fleged graphics card.

I know that but it also has more ram than the wii I don't know what speed. The sdk given to these devs also seem to allow them to produce more efficient code which brings the most out of the system.

Also it's producing these graphics at a lower resolution on a smaller screen which allows more of the power to be used.

I doubt it will be an immediate threat to the Ds given the price gap.

This however could potentially take a huge chunk out of what little the PSP has left, but then again, the price range is still an issue.

2: Stop trying to force photo-realism down my throat until you can get out of the uncanny valley. Work on style and presentation instead of just pixels and bloom.
3: Try something weird and new, and hope we like it.

You'll cut costs way more than you cut revenue, and thus increase profit.

??

This isn't going to compete with either console.  This is something totally different than either one.  This is a pone, not a gaming system.  The games are an added plus.  Then only way that I could even see this hurting either of the markets is if Apple tries to push it as a gaming console, rather than a phone/iPod.  This doesn't mean too much to the PSP or DS.

I say it as them trying to see what the gaming industry is like before jumping into it.

Isnt similar to mobile games?

Much, much more advanced. Motion sensing and a multitouch screen, plus the media features and phone/web browsing. And like I said in my post above, it's much more powerful than most cell phones, capable of actual 3D (to some extent), where all mobile games I've seen look like SNES games.

And then there are Nokia cellphones compatible with software platform N-Gage 2.0

They will kill comptetitors (DS first, PSP second) with such controls in pretty much similar way as Wii's killing her rivals now
