Very nice and yseful thread! Symbios, can you also add totals for handhelds, consoles and overall total? It could be interesting!

Thanks.

Here is a new version. I added totals as you suggested (good idea).

I also added Sony/Nintendo/Microsoft global numbers.

Yes, its perfect now!
Please, keep the thread going good sir! ))

Nice, will keep an eye on this.

Great thread!

This could be a very interesting thread to follow!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Update week 24-01-15 :

Small adjustments were made by VGC for Sony systems (PS4 and Vita were adjusted up and PS3 slightly down it seems...)

Hello everyone !

Update 31-01-15 :

Adjustments were made by VGC :

PS4 was adjusted down. It is now down YOY globally (not by much thanks to Japan)

XBO was adjusted down, but it is still up WOW and YOY.

WiiU was adjusted down but is still up WOW and YOY.

XB360 adjusted down, Wii adjusted up (comeback incoming ?) and PS3 basically untouched.

3DS was adjusted down, so it's even more down ;) but New 3DS launch not so far away...

Vita was adjusted up, it is now up YOY in the US but still down YOY globally.

All three manufacturers are down YOY, HC and HH are down YOY.

Everything is down... **grab an handkerchief and start crying**

Looks like the Xbox One is taking some of it's sales from the PS4.

Expect things to kick off with the release of The Order 1886 and Bloodborne.

Yep, XBO is keeping part of the momentum it got at the end of last year in US and UK.

PS4 will most likely stay down YOY with the launch of The Order 1886 because it launched in Japan last year at that time (the 300k boost will be tough to match).

Next big things incoming :

- New 3DS launch (+MM and MH4, Feb 13), - The Order (Feb 20), Codename Steam (Mar 13)- Bloodborne (Mar 24), - Mario Party 10 (Mar 20)

Looks like the PS4/XOne will be a bit more even this year, PS4 will still lead but it looks like XOne is eating into the market share a bit. Could be tough for PS4 to be up YoY.

Nice to see Wii U up. Even though its numbers are still poor it would be nice to see it stumble along for another couple of years whilst Nintendo get themselves together.

Handheld market is just depressing although 3DS has been enough of a success. Definitely only room for one dedicated handheld next gen though.

Update 07-02-15

PS4 was slighly adjusted up in Europe. Wii was adjusted up again (a few hundreds and I don't know where...). That's it.

Things look like last week a lot...

Next week should bring some needed green on those tables (New 3DS)...

Update 14-02-15

And 3DS is back in the green, up YOY thanks to New 3DS launch. Good week overall, with total hardware up everywhere.

Next week will look bad for PS4 because it was Japanese launch last year... Flat so far.

XBO and WiiU still doing better than last year according to VGC!

Vita is the only current gen system significantly down YOY.
