Wow, that's an inspired idea, Raichu. I love it!
Replace the honey bear and the breegull with a dog and a duck, but retain the some 3D platforming mechanics as Banjo-Kazooie. Nintendo could even have the pair separate a la Banjo-Tooie. The dog could sniff out buried secrets and the duck could fly to normally unreachable areas.
I would probably actually like that a lot . Platformers have always been my favourite type of game.
Weirdly as it sounds, I've been playing Banjo Kazooie recently again. And right now that sounds like an awesome game! Still stands up for its time.
If the game was as good as the original Banjo Kazooie, then yes, absolutely.
I mean... I'm much rather just have a Donkey Kong 3D platformer. To me, it would be a little redundant.
And while I see where you're comparison's some from, that's a completely different game from Duck Hunt. The protagonist, antagonist, goal, and gameplay would be completely different.
Then again, Donkey Kong Country exists, and did pretty much the same thing, so who am I kidding? Of course I'd buy it!
So......When will Nintendo hire you?

I still think they should make an Ice Climbers game based on exploration and treasure hunting, with a lot of platforming elements and humor similar to the Mario and Luigi RPGs. Ice Climbers are still well known because of Melee and Brawl, the Duck Hunt Duo is more obscure in the eyes of younger Nintendo fans.
