Xbox Live as a service is having a hard time putting me onto Xbox Live. I'm just trying to sign into my account, to play single player..not multiplayer and it is making it abundantly clear that this console is depedent upon an online connection just to function.

I always game offline when I'm out of country on vacation. No interwebs necessity.

Yeah, I'm having trouble connecting to XBL as well.

How do you sign back on offline? Do you have to go to setting in the network?

I was on the Xbox One about 15 minutes ago and it was working fine for me.

That or just press A on grey tiles beside the Home ones.

I just pressed on the grey tile and turned the online off, but it still wont let me sign on. I'm assuming this is because of the network itself which still demands some online acknowledgement.

With that said im currently on XBL. There is issues with purchasing content and donwloading items so you shouldnt be having any issue either.

Thats probably what it is. It sucks that you truly cannot game offline. This is the same thing that screwed up the experience during Christmas. Microsoft needs to find a way to truly create an offline experience for gamers. Sign ons should not be completely subjected to an internet connection.

Yeah, apprently there is something wrong with Xbox Live right now. I just checked and they said there are core issues. The team is going to give an update in thirty minutes.
