Imagine they release all the games they should release this year

2015 Kirby, Mario vs Donkey Kong, Mario Party, Mario Maker, Splatoon, Devil's Third, Xenoblade, Star Fox, Zelda.

How many games would they have left?

Pokken Fighters, an Animal Crossing, a Paper Mario, a Fire Emblem, or at least Fire Emblem x Shin Megami Tensei, a Punch Out, some sports game like a Mario Strikers, a Metroid (which could be for the next console), they haven't done an F Zero or Wave Race since the Gamecube, perhaps some japanese game ported to the  west like Fatal Frame, perhaps a new Pokemon Snap.

Even if the Wii U begun to sell well they would have to release a new console in 2017 because they dont have enough games to support a console for more than 5 years. This is a problem also because I think people after the PS3 and 360 gen expect their consoles to last considerably more than 5 years. If Nintendo consoles are to last only 5 years, then they have to be very cheap imo.

I think in the next gen Nintendo should let other companies make "Nintendo" games, let Capcom make a Nintendo vs Capcom game (they want to do it), let From make a Zelda game, let Sega make a new F Zero, get them to make a New Monkey Ball game too.

BTW, I would love a new F Zero or Wave Race with online play.

It's the other way around. They couldn't make enough games for the Wii, but they can provide sufficient software for a niche product like the Wii U where most of the user base gets excited by the same games.

And after making Hyrule Warriors with Koei and having Namco work on Mario Kart, Smash Bros, and now Pokken, I'd say Nintendo are already doing what you suggest.

They don't just release 1 game of each franchise on a console. The GameCube and Wii each had 2 Metroid games and 2 Zelda games. The GameCube had 2 Pikmin games and 2 Star Fox games, the N64 had 2 Zelda games, the Wii had 2 3D Mario games and these are just some examples.

Also, what about Kid Icarus, Luigi's Mansion and a (main series) Kirby game? These are also possibilities.

Keep From away from Zelda. Them doing one thing better than Zelda doesn't mean they do everything better than Zelda, because they don't.

I'm not sure I understand your reasoning. Nintendo can make games of the same franchise 2 or 3 times in a generation.

They could do it if they wanted too. 10 years is even possible

This is a very weird question. I think the more relevant question is whether Nintendo has enough staff and time to release all the games from all their franchises. That's actually a common complaint amongst Nintendo fans: that Nintendo has so many beloved franchises that we can never hope to get one from each for each generation. Maybe you meant to say that you do think there are enough heavy hitters in the bunch...and to that I'd say, just look at the previous posts here. Mario Galaxy 3 or Super Mario 3D World 2 would be no brainers. Why you think metroid has to be on the next console is also an oddity...and don't forget, they could make 3 different metroids depending on resources, as mentioned before. You've got 2d, 3d, and 2.5 d.

I really think your question has to do with sales...but I'm afraid even with the heavy hitters for Nintendo, this generation that is a moot point, sadly.
