Who in the world uses the Youtube app on any device, escpecially since HTML5. I have never used the app on any of my phones, and after checking out the PS4 app I laugh, deleted it, and went back to the browser. The Youtube app on the Vita has been broken for over a year anyways, so this is not any loss to anyone that has been using the Vita regularly.

In actuallity, the Vita is making huge steps towards completly eleminating the need for a smart phone. Those with a 3G Vita can easily replace there smartphone with the device. All Sony needs to do is release a propper Vita Phone with a little more RAM, 4G, and the battery life of the Z3, and it would be the perfect mobile phone and gaming device all in one.

The problem the Vita has is the 10M userbase does not justify development. A 4G Vita and a Vita phone could push it to 50M and beyond in a matter of no time, and then you would start seeing the mobile apps on Android and iOS get interested, along with the likes of the big game publishers. If EA can sell a million copies of Madden, and multiple millions of Fifa they will be right back in the game.

I hate to say this, but it is about time that Sony let Vita go.

It isn't PSP and it doesn't have any saving franchises like Pokemon that are handheld only. It basically restricts many good developers into making inferior verions of PS3/PS4 games.

This situation feels like keeping a brain dead person in a coma, just for the sake of being too scared to announce that the person is actually dead.

Losing the Youtube app is the least of the Vita's concern.

But yes Vita is constantly moving towards extinction.

Always nice to see people celebrating the death or near death of a console, while crying foul when other people make similar comments about their console of choice.

As to everyone saying Sony should just drop vita completely, I really have no words. You do realize that at the moment, they're not losing any money on it, right? They leave 3rd parties release games on it, which is great for people who still have one. Why exactly should they stop making money? It's not like they're losing money by making AAA or any games for it that aren't multiplat. Dropping near, maps, and youtube makes sense from a business point of view, what some of you are suggesting doesn't. We get it, you hate it. How about you let people who are still enjoying it, be? eh?

Hmm sucks for PS Vita, but at least the browser application still works so that's at least something.
Oh and for anyone who has a Vita, what would you recommend about the system and them games?

Honestly, the youtube app was shitte. Some videos, well a lot of videos, didn't work for some reason. While the normal youtube on the browser don't have these issues.
