Forums - Sony Discussion - Now that GT5P has 75 cars, online, 6 tracks, will you buy it?

75 cars and 6 tracks, and 16 player online racing, gt-tv, split screen, performance upgrades

you bet i am, ive pre ordered this £17.99 what a superb deal and thats with free delivery

dunno why some ppl are moaning that this is a demo, lol its a budget price game not a demo.

the content within for £17.99 is a superb deal, after i had tried the jap prolougue demo that just blew me away it looks absolutly superb, i cannot think of any racer that looks as good as that.

this game will sell very well for a budget price game

I can see both sides of the argument here. If Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence were both announced before either were released and everyone knew there would be a 7 month gap between them, a lot of people would want to wait it out for the complete version instead of opting for the gimped version. Some people would just need their MGS3 experience then and there and wouldn't be able to wait, so would probably make a double purchase. I'm the kind of person that would wait, but I'm starting to understand those that can't. I still find it rotten that Sony won't pull a fan friendly move and allow GT5 Prologue buyers to upgrade to GT5 through DLC for $20 or at all.

 I agree with that.

I will definitely not be purchasing this. Sony can kiss my ass. No way I'm paying $40 for an extended demo when I have Forza 2 sitting on my shelf at home with more tracks, damage, voice chat, tons of cars, great online options, etc.

I'll wait for the real GT5 before I buy another sim racer.

Except in a 1up show it was mentioned that it's likely that the new features for the full game will be a downloadable option so it won't be another $60. GT5:Pro is already a downloadable game as well as retail so there's a good chance of the rest being downloadable.

Oh, and if MGS3 original come out and the other version didn't come out until possibly a year later, then yes, I would buy it.

Personally, I'm going to rent it, but I've never played GT before.  I think for those that like it, it's a great deal.

As for the 6 tracks thing people are arguing about:  Motorstorm's tracks were different for the different vehicles so that was worth a full game.  6 tracks is worth 40 with all the online and tuning and split screen etc.

Sony fail once again - their much hyped Sixaxis once again unsupported by their own games division polpyphony.
I am baffled by the apparent difficulty sony are having using their own hardware while Evolution studios managed to incorporate optional and very usable motion controlls on the launch title Motorstorm. It is the Very Best Offroad Racing game I have ever seen or played on any system. Titles like MX VS ATV, collin-Mc-cray , sega rally which launched after this game dont come close to it's free roam action, quality , remarkable and enjoyable physics effects, damage and good motion support it's 2 million units sold is well deserved.
Gt5P on the other hand is an overpriced game with no damage effects, no sixaxis support , few cars and less tracks. Instead of improving on ony of the things, amazingley they went to enormous effort to model the inside of the cars instead ! - the last thing i would be doing is admiring the details of the interior furnishing's while racing along at 200Kmph what a total waste of effort -memory and processing power. It's sad to see such an iconic release like GT5P is worse than the previous GT4 on the Ps2. Polyphoney have lost their direction completly.

Hope they can fix these problems by the time the Real GT5 comes out.

obviously. its a PROLOGE. not a full game. and its not a demo as it has 75 cars tuning, 16 player online, spilt screen, and 6 tracks. burnout has 75 cars. gt5p has more cars thn pro street i think.

th point of this game is it to be a preview for teh real gt5. and yea. gran turismo 4 was a really shitty game considering that it sold over 9.5 million copies. more than the highest selling halo game.
