update: so I tried everything Rockstar suggested and random people on the Internet. I was one of the unlucky people none of these things worked for. It just randomly appeared again. Thankfully not months after like it took for some. Now I can go for that platinum!
I was playing GTA 4 years ago and decided I wanted to get 100% game completion and the platinum trophy. I got almost every single trophy except the 100% game completion one. The proplem was one of the random characters would never spawn. No matter what I did. I tried for weeks and googled exactly where he should be and at what time. I was never going to restart a new save and try it all again especially when there was a risk of this happening again.
So GTA 4 fucked me over. Next up GTA 5. I played it a bit on PS3 but was too busy at work to get full trottle on it. The PS4 version has come out and I've now got the time. SO I decided to platinum it. I've got most of the online trophies, ranked up a lot to the point I'll naturally get to rank 100 and gotten most ofthe single player trophies including all spoaceship parts, secret letters, gun awards, 70 gold medals, all activities, epsilon mission. I pretty much just need 100% game completion and 1 or 2 easy ones.
To my horror I've discovered one strangers and freaks mission nt showing. Tonya's last mission glitches out if you don't complete it earlier in the game. Same with the property managements ringing and asking for help alone with all the random events. If you complete the campaign before getting all them you are fucked. I'm at 90% completion and it now looks like I'd have to start over which I'm not fucking doing. 60 hours of single player on the PS4 version alone to get to this point. There are a few workarounds online that worked for some but none have worked for me so far.
What really pissed me off is that people on the ps3 version were complaining about this glitch since 2013 and it's still not fixed. Rockstar on their forums said the team are aware of it. Yet they released the PS4/X1 versions with the exact same fucking glitches. And pretty fucking severe. I've read comments from people at 99.5% completion before finding out the bit they are missing is that stupid tonya side quest. It's even worse because Michael and Trevor and go to the location and even talk to her. But she's gone when Franklin goes there.
Anyone else have problems with this? I'm going to try the fixes a few more times before giving up and just playing the online for fun. Obviously Rockstar's dev team have been sucked into a black hole created by the gravitational pull from their humongus piles of cash. Last known dev team to suffer the fate was Valve after the mega successful STEAM took off.
