Very smart move.

Nintendo believes in this game. That makes me happy.

God that smile is soo creppy! Its looks like this cute little pet that will kill you if get too close to yet. Essh

But yea! If Splatoon ever makes it to the esports scene and gets accepted by people, it will reallyyyy take off. And the game is a really mechanic heavy game so it certainly has a good shot at it!

Brilliant!!!.

Nintendo's most competitive franchises are the ones that sell the most, from Kario Kart to Pokemon to Smash Bros ect.

Splatoon has the potential to slowly become quite big, starting with 2m+ sales on Wii U. However, Nintendo NEEEEEEEEDS to advertise it on TV very very very well.

Looks like my prediction was correct, then.

If they stream gameplay in some fashion this could be great marketing for the title. Even better if they get well-known smash/traditional fighting game professionals to form teams and settle their differences.

OHHHHH YEAH ! !

Very nice!

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Dem Gamecube graphics up close :S

Good news on the marketing front, looks like Nintendo may actually be trying this time round. Would be nice if Pokken was being shown around too
