As far as gaming goes there are certainly more important things, but there are still games you can play. Fighting games with a fight stick can be played without a thumb. There is one fighter out there called OneHandedTerror who has a malformed left hand. He uses his palm without the fingers and uses his right hand for the buttons. I know it should be thee last thing on your mind, but there are options. Plus games like Bayonetta 2 can be played with 1 hand and has been voted as the most accessible game.

I really hope you get alright, this type of scumbags should just stop existing, existence has no use for them.

Dude you can atleast get into PC gaming (I'm a console gamer) using a mouse doesn't exactly require the much use of the thumb. well depending on what hand you use, looked like your right hand.
