Forums - Gaming Discussion - Can somebody explain me Final Fantasy?

Is there something wrong with the Final Fantasy series? There is neither Final Fantasy XI nor FInal Fantasy XIV in the series, isn't it? Has both games been skipped? And why is nobody talking about Final Fantasy XII? Please elucidate me...

XI and XIV are both MMOs.

XI and XIV are MMO games.

Though Im pretty sure you already know this and Im not sure what the point of the thread is.

Im sorry, I just dont understand how someone on a dedicated videogame forum cannot know the basics about what is arguably the biggest RPG franchise on consoles

This topic is useful because google doesn't exist.

Really wished Square had called FFXI and FFXIV along the lines of FF Online rather than using the mainline numerical numbers.

If you know nothing about Final Fantasy then I will tell you now, stay away from Final Fantasy fandom. It's ugly.

I'm not really kidding, either.

XI and XIV were MMOs. Nothing special really, fairly typical as far as MMOs go. XII doesn't get talked about much mainly because it is quite old now. Not only that there are a fair few people that think it was bad and the start of Final Fantasy's downfall (myself included). Of course there are some who say it is the best one as well, but they seem to be fewer in number.

I don't think you're being very fair with the summary of two very beloved games.
