well I'm just going to say this. starting with FFVII which remains my favorite, I play every Final Fantasy title because I'm a fan of the franchise. I don't think they'll ever go back to turn base combat though, but it is worth playing for the story in my opinion.

This seems a bizarre time to make such a silly decision. Type-0 is incredible, and FFXV is set to be divine. We've also had great spin-offs like FF Explorers, Dissidia, Theatrhythm, and Bravely Default/Second.

Im not done just yet. If XV sucks then I am done with SE FF games until they clean their act up.

So were XIII, XIII-2, XIII-3 and XIV and not one delivered.  The decision doesn't seem "silly" at all.

I see nothing wrong with FF, x2 and lighting returns pretty much go back to the old formular from what heard and XV will be defeniatly like the classic games. If you want classic style hardcore rpg play the last remnant on pc. Thats a pretty good game that was overshadowed by FF at the time.

Meh, I was never into FF, XV , Type-0, and Crysis Core (and 9, but then I heard that it had the bs random encounters and decided that it sucked by default) are the only ones that have remotely interested me. And I've played 2 main line tittles so far, I just loath them.

If I can offer advice is that you move on to other games that try to capitalize on the classic FF formula, after all, FF is just a name, you can find similar clones if you want your FF-fix just that bad.

How about Bravely Default? That seems like the old classic FF.

Nah, that's too easy, I say go the hipster route for a very obscure, actually decent RPGMaker game.

Disagree, FF has been a great game to me. Although FFXIII trilogy wasn't as great as it could of been it was still a good series imo.

The only RPGMaker games I know are actually hardly RPG at all, but RPG based horror games. Not very RPG, but good games made with RPGMaker programs.
