Hooray!
It didn't bomb as much as I thought it would.
I'm guessing Xillia was just an anomaly rather than the norm for the series - this is back to normal sales.

Np, and yup I believe it's the fastest one to be localized out of the PS3 Tales games anyways. However, Vesperia was localized and released just 19 days after it's Japan release on X360.
Yay! Go Tales! Such a great series. Deserves Final Fantasy level sales. Good to see it's hanging on okay. A good PS4 port should get a lot more sales.

You can say that, but it wasnt the only title in the series that sold that well. I still remember Tales of Destiny 2 pulled similar opening numbers.
I also found out why the game is getting a poor reception.
It turns our Aleshia, the character touted as the female heroine at the unveil with Slay, is not a character that stays in your party and is badly treated by the party for odd reasons when she is a nice girl. Also, because her story chapter was cut out to be sold as DLC. Hopefully, its something they fix for the western release.
Apparantly that rubbed off tales fans the wrong way. Not very different from the prothean debacle of mass effect 3.
Also, i didnt know this but the actual female lead is a character names Rose in the end, wich seems to be your typical female lead that loves cute things. Looks alot like Cheria from graces. I guess having another independent female lead after Xillia was too much for them.
