"A Capcom UK representative told Eurogamer this morning that there are no plans to release Dragon's Dogma Online in the west, so don't hold your breath."

Not the game I was hoping for, plus no western release?

Lol.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is a great game, I hope many people get to play and enjoy it this way, because it absolutely deserves it (if this f2p version is as good as the PS3 version I played ofcourse)

I might take a look at the PS4 version of this, if it's ever available from the west (wouldn't mind dling the jpn client, if it lets me connect to that).

I really enjoyed Dragon's Dogma even if it's story was nonsense as much as it could be but I tried Dark Arisen and I only played like 10 minutes before it's difficulty pissed me off. I was in an area and a big shadow thing appear which I couldn't hurt and it killed all my party, then second attempt I ran through but it still got 2. Gave up after that. Was I meant to get to a certain level before attempting it or something?

Anyway, Deep Down and Dragon's Dogma both F2P on PS4? ... my only issue is when I play F2P games it goes on my Trophy list and now that's just filled with games where I've got like 1 trophy for starting and thinking 'This is a bit rubbish.' I wish I could remove certain games from that list, I mean perminantly, not just hide.

Hmm, pie.

depending on what enemies you kill there is a chance "necrophagic" bosses spawn on Bitterblack Isle, like Garms, Elder Ogres, Death and Bone Dragons - apart from Death these have pretty easy to exploit elemental weaknesses and can be killed pretty quickly once you know what you're doing

if Death spawns (usually after killing Zombies) you probably should run, because you need special equip, especially to prevent sleep, to handle it

Good to know, so the first area you find with some zombies... don't kill the zombies, gotcha. There is a fine line between hard and just not explaining what the hell is going on. This did that. I'm on PS4 now, unlikely to go back anything sadly.

the chance for the spawn is pretty small, but it's already decided at the start of the stage, so if you use the auto-save/a save in that same stage after dieing the necrophage will spawn again after killing a certain enemy type in the stage

Oh yeah, I remember when they registered that trademark, well assuming this comes to PS4 then this should be decently big for it in Japan, even if people probably preferred a single player sequel.

Makes me wonder about Deep Down.  They seem rather similar, perhaps the game has been rebranded.  If that is the case, this will probably be PC/PS4 only

We just recently had a deep down trailer so I wouldn't worry about it. Also style wise they're quite different. DGO is a western style RPG with an open world, mages etc, Deep Down is a dungeon crawler.

Weird that they've put all they're eggs in Free to Play though, would make sense if one was a traditional release with extensive DLC and the other FTP with constant updates. I guess Street Fighter V is next lol
