Yes, I consider being hateful toward of group of people who murdered millions of Jews to be acceptable.

Does that mean we can be hateful towards Americans (or say American Army is a bunch of Neanderthals who deserve to die) because they killed 150.000 Japanese using Atomic bombs?

See, as soon as you start applying and justifying double standards, you set off on a slippery slope.

Then it goes back to the who started it issue...

I love this. Stop lumping religion in with sexuality and race as if they deserve the same sort of protection. There is nothing to argue or disagree with it comes to the latter, those opinions are not tolerated in the modern world, you're either for or against. Religion however is vastly different.

If you disagree with homosexuality (or black people) in any way or stance, you're homophobic/racist. There is no "bu ... but I just have a different opinion than you!" It is what it is and there is NO in between.

However it's perfectly acceptable to be angry or use defensive speech against certain religious topics (such as outdated practices).

I'm gonna play the devil's adovocate on this. So if someone critisizes homosexuality or blacks then they are homophobic or racist? If I say that I don't like gay parades (too loud) or how blacks are openly racist to whites then I'm a homephobe or a racist?

That's not disagreeing with homosexuality tho (and for the record I agree about parades, but for different reasons). I don't see that as being against gays. It's people saying stuff liek "I don't like gay marriage" there is no instance here where that isn't homophobic.

I see that there is a movement to slap the label of homophobia immediately, as soon as someone disagrees even in the slightest. The easiest way to discredit someone's opinion, no matter how valid or invalid it should be.

So, if opposing gay marriage is instantly homophobic, using that logic...What is a person who opposes all types of marriage? An instant Misanthrope - hater of all humanity?

Your logic isn't welcome 'round these parts.

Sensible, cynical and money consious :P

There are no valid reasons to be against gay marriage, it's all wrapped up in faux-ness and irrational arguments.

Religious beliefs. They don't have to be valid to you, but they are to others.

My mother doesn't agree with gay marriage or gay couples having kids. If she signed up and stated that here you really think she'd get a permaban or deserve one? Hell no. She will never insult gay people and would always threat them with respect. She's allowed have an opposing opinion Seece and that can be for whatever reason she wants be it a religious belief or a belief that humans should be with opposite sex so they have kids. Some people might think that's best for the race because if everyone was gay humans would die out.

I disagree with her views but I respect them.

Let's not turn this into a debate about gay marriage please. That's off-topic.

As for the other comments, I guess I'll go back to what Smeags said and say the moderators will be using common sense when moderating for hateful posts (as we do for all moderation really).

Sometimes I look at these giant rule sheets that are based around common sense and pity the fact that common sense isn't so common anymore, which is why a lot of people violate forum rules .-.
