Of course it does. But back in the days, when gaming was still cool and hardcore, we often just played ~20% slower than our brethren in NTSC-Land.

I remember some of my Gamecube games asking me if I wanted to play at 50Hz or 60Hz. That must have been around when the shift came.

PAL N64/PS1 games ran at a baseline of 25fps didn't they, because it was half of 50?
