Forums - Gaming Discussion - resident evil remaster holds up really well.

One thing I've realised is that my skill level has been dumbed down since PS1 days. I simply cannot play the game with tank controls. I have barely played the game since buying it a few days ago but I am looking forward to putting more hours in soon.

So far though, it is completely unscary. I have a problem right now in that because I've only played short bursts I've used up all the typewriter ribbons your pick up in the dining room. So next session I'll need to play through until I find another typewriter. How far do you have to go after you find the arrow head and the Sapphire statue before you find the next typewriter ribbons?

That depends. Typewritter Ribbons are not necessarily obtained by progressing the story only, but with a bit of exploration as well.

Though, if you only have the arrow head and have wasted the three ribbons already, woah. You're going to have a bit of trouble I'm afraid. Anyway, everything depends; if you know what to do with that arrow head, you'll find more in a matter of five-ten minutes. If you don't, you can spend an hour or so.

I'll end up picking it, but would love to get physical.

That's good to hear. The only thing holding be back is the price point right now (once it comes down to $10 on PS Plus I'll pick it up).

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I got the resident evil remaster for $17.99. that's what I used my %10 thing on. At first my thought was; I don't remember the orginal playstation version of resident evil looking this good, then I remembered they had a gamecube version, that I never played. lol   The graphics are obviously outdated, but I was still surprised how good this version looks. don't regret my purchase at all. I only played the old playstation version a few times, when it first came out. I highly recomend this game for people that loved the first one. Now,if they only remastered resident evil zero,my life would be complete. Resident evil zero is the only main resident evil game that I have never played. thoughts?

Whoa that like word for word what I did as well and I have the same impressions.  Great game they did a good job on it. Also it feels like there is some content that wasnt in the original,  or maybe im just imagining things.

I have a feeling it will be one of the free monthly offerings in the near future

Man, I hope you're right. It would be worth the wait. ^^

I am downloading it now oldschool. If I do not like it I will curse your name for eternity. Interetingly the game is 15 gb on PS4, 7 gb on PS3 and 5gb on 360.

I agree, the game is amazing, I am loving it!

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.
