Whats origin?

I use it for Battlefield 3 and 4, but I wish I didn't have to. If Steam or GOG never existed; this could be a passable service, but this is not so and Steam shows just how bad Origin is in comparison.
The plus side is really fast downloads and more stable ones but I would rather they apply this formula to their online servers, to be honest...

Sadly, one has to use it for some of the newer games, therefore I'm using it too. But Origin is horrible imo, mainly because of following reasons:

- There's no reliable way to back up and restore your games
- The store chockes up after loading a couple dozen titles
- There's no easy way to change the language of most games (not entirely EA's fault, but Steam does it better)
- It's not very intuitive to do game invites and they rarely work for me and my friends
- Something is weird about their window handling/drawing (i.e. redrawing problems, sluggish performance, some parts don't get redrawn after resize)

It just feels clunky and undercooked in general. Plus, something that I just found out a couple of minutes ago, is that there were and maybe still are major issues with their EULA.

If you've read the original End User License Agreement for Origin it stated that by installing Origin you're giving EA the right to monitor your PC and to make a profile of you, including what programs you have installed (and whether you have any illegally downloaded material), what websites you use, etc., and that EA reserves the right to share or sell this information to third parties.

Now this was in 2011 and since then many lawyers and government agencies took legal action against EA. I'm still trying to figure out what happened after that, but I'm pretty sure they had to change their EULA since it clearly violates the German privacy act.

I do, albeit rarely

Origin has been on my bad side ever since it installed its self on my PC without my permission.

Gone on the same day btw

Yes I do. I don't get the negativity at all.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Yup, for Dragon Age and FIFA at the moment. SimCity and a bit of BF 3 in the past

I have no problem with it. But I don't use it too much. I also don't see the benefit of it being separate from Steam for me, but I guess it is good to have some sort of competition

I have it for games on the house. Sucker for free things.

no, it spies on my stuff to sell it for ads
