Forums - Politics Discussion - Do You Think Women Have Been Given Too Much Power In The Western World?

With the feminism culture being so strong in the western world especially the U.S.A do you think that woman nowadays have too much rights and power? Do you also think that man are starting to be known as second class citizens?

Disclaimer: Please do not let this thread go out of hand. Don't just say feminism sucks, state a reason why it sucks if that is your opinion.

Yes, lately I feel afraid of going out and looking at people in the eye. Some chick may think I want to rape her with my sexy eyes, so I try to stay at home and socialize with my 2D girls.

No they don't have too much power, and men aren't starting to be known as "second-class" citizens.

Absolutely. Basic human rights should only be granted to a certain group of people, while others should have to contend with lesser living opportunities and freedom.
That social construnction makes a lot of sense... (Sarcasm)

The universe, nature, and the natural flow of energy doesnt really care about, nor emphazise social constructions that others hold as ultimate truth.
But for the sake of all people, no matter who they might be, justice and equality is the way to go, for everones sake.
Although it is nothing but a construction.

Women haven't been "given" anything since these are rights that we all share and that no one has the right to give to anyone. Feminism is a destructive ideology though, since it focuses so much on differentiation of men and women, despite its goal to achieve the opposite.

i think feminists should concentrate and put all their energy on countries like Saudi Arabia

...No? They're still seen as inferior by many institutions. Especially in politics.

Official Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Thread

Being in a state of wanting to suppress others, shun others, supposedly elevate oneself above others,

Is actually most damaging to the person harboring such emotions and views. One might think being condescending and creating an ideal of this is worth more than that is beneficial.

But in the end, its the person who constantly looks down on others who carry the heaviest burden, chosing to slend his/her freedom in that tiring and demanding state.

So the joke is on the haters, not the ones being hated on

Even though you say it in a jokingly manner. This is a serious problem, woman and society need to know that not every taught that passes through a man's mind when looking at a girl is " I want to have sex with her".
