...It's actually pretty good.

Of course I'm talking about FFIII, he only Final Fantasy I hadn't played yet. It controlled quite well, it didn't stutter, it was quite a crisp and fluent experience.

I think I'm hooked now and want to play more mobile games. I'm looking into FF Dimensions and Chaos Rings right now.

I acknowledge the power of mobile now. I'm playing on a Galaxy Note 3 and its power and screen size are far above any dedicated handheld. It has all important features I need and I can multitask however I want. All in the same device, it's just glorious. For the games I play I don't need buttons or a precise analog stick so it's pretty much superior to any handheld in every regard.

Of course I'm still hoping Square Enix would bring more games to consoles instead of handhelds and mobile but for now I have at least something proper to play them with.

Which mobile games have you enjoyed?

Mobile has a few really good games but in general Mobile games are very dull. Very seldom do I find one that can hold my attention for 2 minutes.

But more on topic I like Civilization Revolution and Terraria (though both are better on console/PC)

There may not be as many proper games on mobile but for now they are plenty for me and the most important thing, they are actually viable as enjoyable experiences. I don't think it took something away from my immersion or enjoyment that I played it on mobile instead of a handheld.

Looking at SE's catalogue alone, I will be entertained throughout this year.

Isnt the majority of SEs Mobile catalogue remakes of old console games? I know they are on Mobile now but they are console games. I can not think of a Mobile game (that isnt a remake) I would put in the same class as Zelda A Link Between Worlds I mean. But that is just my opinion. I hope you enjoy yourself!!! The day I can play Civilization 5 on an Android tablet I will play the holy heck out of Mobile. But until then I will stick to my PS4, PC, and Wii U lol

My Girlfriend for the most part feels the same way, she plays console but she has a couple of Mobile games she plays (Plague Inc and PopCat lol).

-Yeah Chaos rings is a must.  Especially the second one, Baldur's gate collection aswell...

-Knights of pen and paper is fun aswell.  It is a RPG made with humour if you are into that kind of thing.

-Oceanhorn if you want something similar to zelda.

-Covenant of solitude is fine but I only recommend it because it is cheap...but they also made eve of genesis that is better but little more expensive:

-If you like a FF look a like you probably enjoy Doom and destiny:

- Inotia 4 is also recommended if you like strategy never tried it myself but people enjoying it especially when it is free and so huge

A lot of SE's mobile games are older games that were released on either handhelds I never owned or were not even released at all where I live. But there are also a good amount of games that are mobile only like FF Dimensions which is a full fletched completely new retro FF game and Chaos Rings which is a completely new IP exclusive to mobile.

I think mobile is a great haven for fans of Japanese games.

Maybe that is it! I am not a big fan of Japanese games

RIP vivster. You'll be missed

The old vivster might be gone but get ready for the new and improved new vivster :)

Prepare for rants about how overpowered consoles are and why big screens are bad for your eyes and analog sticks cause arthritis.
