It was fairly moving, and I say forget the naysayers. The film doesn't glorify the Iraq War, and in fact does the opposite with its portrayal of the effect of war on a veteran and his family. There might've been some slight inaccuracies in tactics or logic but I don't think anyone intelligent left the theatre thinking that the movie tried to send a message of war being a good thing.

Actually became interested in seeing it a month back because Bradley Cooper; he's one of my fave actors.

The movie tells people that war isnt a good thing for american soldiers but not for the people who get invaded

well it's told from the perspective of an American soldier of course it's going to show the negative effects for him.  Also it's more of a character study than a war epic so it's going to focus on him instead of general suffering (no pun intended with general)

It's despicable propaganda about a man who should be put to death for his crimes.

Was a good movie, I can't say how accurate it was of his story though.

Well he was put to death..... in an unorthodox way......

I've seen it, but I don't see why people like it so much.

I laughed at this part. enemy guy missed shooting the van with an rpg at close range.

Very inaccurate, I'm afraid. It's a remarkable propaganda piece and little more.

If you read his book, he's quite a monster who took great pleasure in killing people and saw them as less than human.

Well that's unfourtanate, he does seem like the "hillbilly" type that would be that way.

Pretty damn good I think. It had some nice character development, great action scenes and overall left me satisfied coming out of the theater. My only issue is that Chris' development at the end of the movie felt a bit rushed. I would've liked for them to give us a bit more time devoted to him leaving the military life behind.
