I will, and i think everyone should. It's not bad at all, I don't know why so many people is still stuck with the "I won't upgrade from Win7" mindset. Get on with the times, people. Microsoft fucks up from time to time but lately they've been doing really great things.

Are you refering to WIndows Or Xbox One?

Yup for sure, have 3 (2 pc's and a laptop) goodbye windows 8, although at work ill say we will stick with windows 7 due to software compatibility.

Yeah, why not? It's free, and I have had Windows 7 for 4 years. It came with my laptop and would be nice to upgrade.

considering the nightmare that is Windows 8, its not a gurantee that it will be an 'upgrade'. Microsoft excels at making their software awkward to navigate these days

this I had to upgrade all the pcs at work to windows 7 that was fine but the jump from office 2007 to 2013 gave me such a headache answering stupid questions, so glad we did not upgrade to windows 8 or I would have had a nervous breakdown

Windows 10 is free for the first year then it's a $25 a month subscription so no I will stick with windows 8.1.

If this is correct, then hell no.  I was already on the fence since Win7 (which I like) already required me to replace my $200 KVMP switch.  I could see Win10 making me replace the new one too and i just bought the thing.  I'll probably just run 7 until 2020.

Edit: not looking as if this is good info, disregard the first sentence, the rest is still a concern of mine.

No. When I ahve to reformat my PC's. I'd have to reinstall windows 7, than pro upgrade code. Than install 10 over it. That's all BS. I'd rather just buy W10 outright. Assuming it isn't ass.

This isn't correct at all. There is no monthly or anual subscription. Once you own it you will get updates for life. You can pay a service fee (or whatever they are calling it) to get smaller, more regular updates instead of waiting for all of the updates to be released in a service pack. That is optional though, and eventually you will still get all of the updates in a released service pack.

So in other words if you don't pay the subscription you run an OS with all kinds of security vulnerabilities that will get patched maybe 4 times durring the life cycle of the product ... now I'm for sure not getting it.

Edit: disregard it looks like I was falling for bad info

Any good reason to upgrade?

Me! Can't wait to try it. Hopefully its as good as it looks.

I'm doing it. I don't understand why you wouldn't.

Had win8 not been all metro, I would have taken the low cost upgrade offer it launched with. But free for a much better version is awesome.

See my post above.

Edit: after some research of my own ... forget I said anything...
