Am I the only one who doesn't even care about the pic or the size, and just thinks the timing here is all off?

I mean the PS4 is going into it's second full year and it's selling like hotcakes. Seems to me like you'd wait to pull a redesign out of your pocket until things are slowing down a bit for you to get some new momentum going. Especially since the PS4 is already pretty slim to begin with.

You're not the only one. I don't think there's a chance it comes before Holiday 2016.

Could be possible tho, a redesign and pricecut for the 2015 holiday season would convince a lot of people to buy more PS4's... Considering how Sony is doing as a company, them trying to squeeze more money out of the Playstation division isn't unreasonable. Still, I doubt this is real.

Offcourse it's not just you, they will probably release it next year, i bet this is just a concept design which will definetly look different when it's finish. So the leak i bet it's true but the leak is just the concept, every manufacture especially Hardware manufacture like Sony always do this, so it's not a question real or not and sales decision or not, small factor bring small cost manufacturing etc.

If they are business, they wouldn't be using an Apple product, also why is it all in English? Japanese company remember.

This is easily foiled by using basic logic.

Hmm, pie.

if this is true, could we see a 299$ PS4 this holiday?

I'd be so pissed if I owned a ps4 and this was launched in 2015

Tamron did an analysis, gave it me to post.

He says working from a known size (the disk slot on the side) you can gauge the dimensions of it, and when compared to the dimensions of a normal ps4 you get the borrom comparison, which as you can see is WAY off the supposed "leaked" slims sizes.

Additionally he says this.

Scalng the sizes down to the second images actual size and applying real world disk and hdd sizes gives you the following.

As the "leak" has a central mounted optical drive, there isnt any clearance to include a hard drive in the machine, and thats before considering anything else such as cooling, fans and so on.

Tamrons verdict is basically, "physically impossible to be real".

And there you have it.

If it's true we could see 299$ price 2016 holiday, but not this year.

I don't believe. A Slim model will come but only by 2016.

It's not real, but the concept and the picture is real, i bet they will look different when it's finish. and it's not a rocket science that the company already researching and planed to make the slimer console in the near future.
