Forums - Gaming Discussion - FFXV is one giant, connected Landmass. Important disconcerting info

My hype thrusters detonated long ago already.

If there's no airship (and most likely there won't be based on what he said), it won't deflate my hype, but I guess it is a little disappointing.

I don't care about airships, it is fine by me if they only include the car. :)

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Mechs are better tho... :P

This thread is hilarious - Thank you VGC

Airships are overated, they never really offered actual gameplay just a means to unlock new areas and fast travel.I mean I appreciate them, I always prefer organic methods of transversal then instant quick travel but my hype for this game isn't dependent on it.

To date there hasn't been a single Final Fantasy game that had issues with its ''size'', funny that this seems to be the of most peoples concern. I'm more interested in the quality of content in the world and how cohesive it is

Why would you need airships in a game like Grand Theft Fantasy anyway?

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Seriously, its soo annoying in mobile :/

It's just a lot of pussyfooting around mentioning Zelda Wii U.

Well, it does have Epona while this has a car. Makes sense I guess...

I don't really care too much about the airship if they rest of the game is great.

I think square is overpromising and probably will underdeliver.

This is the reason why i contain my excitement for this game. Square is yet to do a good FF game since Sakaguchi left. I dont expect them to miraculously be able to now. I am sure they cant go any lower than FFXIII, but i doubt they will deliver a game world that rivals with other open world RPG's.
I expect a theme park that allows us to explore a bit, but not too much. I dont expect it to be an open world at all... unless it stays in development for  two more years.

No, it seems about the size of a certain game that was the greatest jrpg of last gen (which you traveled through on foot).

if I recall that certain game you are talking about wasn't open world. That's a very very big difference. The world map in that game was nothing but a picture. An area map that you were never really in. Walk straight, road forks, treasure chest on one dead end, back track, GI the other way, profit.

Unless of course we are not talking about FF13
