well in all honesty its just another reason for my to not buy a xbox one at this point, it seems the games i have been interested have come on pc,  and there just isnt enough games FOR ME X1 to make me buy it......YET.   Fable was the one must have game for me.  and now ill just wait for the pc release.

This. Sales2099 this guy is a perfect example of why the x1 is the only thing losing out regarding this deal

I will still play xbox one over pc if all the xbox one games were on PC. The only games I play on PC is non multiplayer indie games. The reason is simple

PC is way more expensive
PC online communities for most newer games die fast (looking at you titan fall).
However, the BIGGEST reason has got to be there is so many cheaters online for pc games and they can cheat easily without anyone knowing.
For example, in Counter Strike you can install custom wall textures that allow you to see through walls. VAC can't detect this because they believe it is just another skin and as long as you don't make it look too obvious the admins won't ban you.
The only thing I will say without a doubt that makes PC gaming better than consoles (don't care for graphics difference) is the mods. I wish consoles allow it more. We really need to beg our third party developers to do this.

It had twice the hype of watchdogs but that on ps4 outsold titanfall on X1. But this is not my point.  My point is it was hyped as this gens gears 1. Gears shifted millions of xboxs. Titanfall failed big time with regards shifting x1. The sales might be good but ultimately it failed to achieve what it was meant to dominate. And that was for it to lift the x1 and beat the ps4. As i said it even failed to do that the month it released.

You should consider that the Xbox One was still $499 at the time of course the Xbox One didn't outsell the PS4. HOWEVER, Titanfall DID help sell the Xbox Ones even thought it was also released for PC(this is the point I am trying to make from my first comment in this thread).

Like I said with Titanfall even if there is a PC release there are people who would rather play it on console and will boost sales of the Xbox One and what Sweetoothj said.

I never said it didn't sell any just not nearly enough. It was 500 but had some big promotions for the month.  Ultimately it failed.

Well to be fair the Titanfall promotion was announced 2 weeks before release which for me was sorta too late. If it had been announced at least 4 weeks in advance rather than 2 there would of been a possibility it would of won March NPD.

It was being hyped as game of the generation for months before release. I remember how the team who made cod popular were going to make a mix between gears, cod and halo.  The perfect mix of them all that would shake the gaming landscape.  As i keep saying it didn't live up to the hype and more importantly shift enough xboxs.  It sold well regardless but ultimately it failed.

It didn't meet EA and MS expectations.  They basically gave the game for free the month it released in that promotion because it came up short. It failed to even win that npd for the one.

Can you please post EA and Microsoft's respective expectations for the game, please? Since you're talking about them as if they are quantifiable, and/or well known facts. Because, I mean, EA has gone on the record as saying it met their expectations. But apparently you, Kerotan of VGChartz, knows something EA, publisher of the game, does not. Do tell! We'll be on pins and needles awaiting this information.

The game was hyped to be the gears of this generation. For ea the sales petered off despite massive game promotions and sales. Microsoft obviously wanted it to help them beat the ps4.

I'm giving my opinion why I think it failed and what I think MS wanted from it. If you have an opinion then say it. Do you think ms payed top dollar for this game with the aim of coming up short of ps4 the month of release. I'm am using my vast realms of knowledge to make these calls. No facts needed.

Did MS pay "top dollar"? Who knows. So they made the deal hoping to beat PS4 in the NPD? lol. Thats silly. They made the deal to.improve their library and spur sales, which it did. Instead of looking at it from a "it didn't beat the PS4" angle, try looking at it from a "how much would PS4 have outsold it without Titanfall" angle. It seems, like many, you're letting some forum hype and journalist buzz dance a number on your logic. If you really think MS thought they had a game on deck that would let them "beat PS4" then I don't know what to tell you.

I can tell you though that the game has sold millions, EA had greater than expected revenue results and thanked Titanfall as one of the reasons, and have said it met their sales expectations. Idk where your "vast realms of knowledge" fit in there, maybe email them and tell them GAF said it was supposed to be the Gears of this gen, maybe they'll adjust those expectations accordingly LOL.
