Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Will Activision try again with COD Wii U this year?

I know Wii U third party support is very thin, but i was very surprised Advance warfare skipped the Wii U last year. The Wii U install base should be around 10-11 million (hopefully more) by the time the next iteration is due. Do you think Activision will see that as a big enough install base to have another crack at COD Wii U?

What's the point? I'm honestly surprised they kept making the games for Nintendo consoles for as long as they did.

Nope, sadly.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

I don't think they care about install base regarding to Wii U, COD ghost manage to sell well on ps4 and xbox one starting from scratch while it flopped 2 times in a row for Wii U. Judging from the sales of black ops 2 and ghosts, It will depend if 300k is worth the port for them.

I'm surprised that the Wii U got Call of Duty: Ghosts in 2013.

Since the Wii U didn't get AW, I'm pretty sure Activision no longer has any interest in bringing any more COD games to the Wii U.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

3rd parties suck ass and I'm not talking about birthday parties.

Only if they feel like they can make a profit. It's a possibility, but I definitely wouldn't say it's likely.

Nope! Heck, I bet even if they wanted to, the install data would probably not fit the wiiU's ~28gb hard drive without a shit ton of compression that is

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Well, with the lower install base on the Wii U I have my doubts but it's always a possibility.

Problem it's not install base it will sell similar to other call of duty of wii u despite tthe bigger install base

Why would people buy the worst version

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m
