Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Win 10/Xbox Event "Will Be Super Interesting, Every Gamer Should Tune In, Microsoft's Swagger Back"

Tomorrow (January 21), Microsoft is holding a special Windows 10/Xbox Conference, it will start exactly at 9:00AM PST, and fans are expecting to hear/see a closer look at Windows 10, a brand new Operating System from Microsoft which is expected to be integrated into Xbox One and Phones/Tablets. Will there be anything for gamers? It's already confirmed that Xbox Division Boss Phil Spencer will make an appearance on stage, so expectations of Xbox gamers are pretty high.

There's one person who knows what exactly Microsoft is going to showcase or talk at their special conference on January 21, Kevin Dent (Video games industry exec) but due to NDA, he is unable to reveal the details openly. So via few teaser tweets, Kevin Dent advices "All Gamers" to tune in tomorrow and watch the event, as it will be super interesting.

"I think all gamers should tune in and watch the Windows 10 Event on Wednesday :) It will be super interesting!" tweeted Kevin.

When quizzed that: "DX12 & W10 will complete the puzzle" at the event, Kevin stated:

"I have been pleasantly shocked by their ideas. I am under NDA so I can't say much and I like that I am not sued. and much much much more"

"I think they have their swagger back! The vibe on campus is electric!"

Additionally, Tom Warren, Senior Editor at The Verge stated that Microsoft will be holding a special Windows 10 and Xbox session with developers after January 21 conference.

"Microsoft is holding some Windows 10 on Xbox sessions with developers after the 21st. Interesting."

Adding, Phil Spencer statements about the event, it seems like this event is an answer to Sony's PlayStation Experience (which took place in December 2014)

The event looks good. MS, Windows and Xbox all have news, cool to see MS innovation showing up.

Event is more about platform and capabilities.

I am placing my bet on a full extension of Xbox Live services to PC, and it includes games, cross buy, saves and play. In short, Xbox division of Microsoft ceases being a platform and going games service offering across all Windows 10 supported devices. This looks pretty much on the card (i may be wrong) but this sorts of thing has happened with MS Office (another successful product of Microsoft), it is now available on Windows and other OS as well such as Mac and Android.

Make out whatever you can from these teaser statements, all i would like to add is, Microsoft wants to make their presence felt in PS4 vs Xbox One battle pretty much. Tell us in the comment section below, what are you guys expecting to hear from Microsoft related to Xbox at tomorrow's event (which will be live streamed here.).

I will certainly check it out cause I am loving the windows 10 beta atm

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Please, dear lord, give us Windows 10 before I buy a new gaming rig this spring; I never want anything to do with Windows 8 again in my life.

i doubt we'll see (new) games announced like at the playstation experience but i imagine with their push for unification across platforms we'll see something that makes it easier for pc developers to get their games on xbox and maybe some announcements of known games making that migration.

otherwise i don't imagine ms going to let xbox upstage windows in any way. ms knows where their billions come from and it's not xbox.

Should be interesting. On the other hand, Kevin Dent is habitually wrong about everything.

I'm expecting charts about performance improvements for DX12 which don't apply to Xbox but will make it sound like it will.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

This thread just reminded me that I dream my company was using windows 10.

Should be interesting. Can't wait to hear the news from Ryuu

I wonder if Windows Phone has news as well

I will tune in, but am not expecting much.
