Will Sony make a successor for Vita ?

Yes, they can make a successful handheld. 77 20.81%

No, they're done with portable gaming. 293 79.19%

In Japan, maybe. But it won't come to the rest of the world.

Unfortunately, the handheld market is eroding away, thanks to mobile games. Even the 3DS is doing worse than Nintendo would've liked.

I still think Sony should agree to work with Nintendo. Why not?

Competing has become passe, the two have enough enemies on their plate.

Sony should help Nintendo will a future handheld and integration into perhaps things like tablets or cell phones too.

In exchange maybe Nintendo might bring some of their games to the PS4 (I'm sure it would be nice to have 100 million consumers to sell to that aren't just soccer moms who buy a narrow variety of games).

If they can work together on a Mario movie, gaming should not be out of the question anymore. The 90s are over, it's time to let old grudges die, both companies need all the help they can get right now.

If the next Nintendo handheld is roughly equivalent to a Wii U, Sony could provide a lot of their IP ... God Of War, Uncharted, Last of Us, Gran Turismo, and it would probably spur a lot more third parties to support Nintendo handhelds more strongly (Square-Enix, EA, Konami in particular).

It's really unbelievable sometimes that Sony just let Nintendo take MH.   This franchise is born and bread on playstation and was huge for the PSP.

yeah it was born on the PS2 and found succes on the PSP, watching it go exclusive to the 3DS almost feels like watching MGS go exclusive to Xbox....

also its even more surprising when you see that the MH PSP games are one of Sonys best selling games across all platforms...

I doubt it. I think they're done with portable gaming.

Yeah it honestly is kinda a puzzling turn of events.  I do wonder what the hell happend with Sony and Capcom on that one.

Mobile devices will stream PS5. So... Sony phones.

What happened is Iwata made probably his smartest move of the last 5 years and correctly identified that if you removed Monster Hunter from Sony's stable, the whole deck of cards would collapse in short order.

I don't think so. Streaming will be the focus.

Maybe they will make another handheld/micro console with better UI, but they will still be devices for streaming. They will not be ambitious new platforms per se.

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

They will of course.
