Forums - Gaming Discussion - Mobile Games YMHM: Darkest Fear trilogy

Introducing, Mobile Games you might have missed. Got this idea while reading info on the new WiiWare game called LIT, and it reminded a lot of the mobile game Darkest Fear. Seen some people disregard mobile gaming in the forums and had a few times I wanted to make something of this sort, but never got round doing it. I've always felt games on mobile to have that retro feel, pixelated glory and all. There a few gems hiding in this market which you might not know about, hope this and future threads will help you discover them.

On to the matter, Darkest Fear trilogy is a well known mobile game by developer Rovio Mobile. It's a horror themed puzzle game in which you guide your way through the dark corridors using light. The sequel improved the level layout by having you roam around Grim Oak city, while in the third installment's switchable players added a new twist into the puzzles.

Note that each description has a free download link from Gamejump, they offer the games for free via ads displayed the first screen when run the game, it uses your phones internet so be careful with the bill. Also this game should be available by your mobile providers, if you don't want the ad-supported ones.

Darkest Fear

The mystery begins with an eerie phone call from the wife of Dr. Thomas Warden. She is working in an old hospital mansion and begs him to come and save their child. Darkest Fear defines an entirely new category of mobile games, inviting the player deep into a haunting story of hidden mystery and bitter despair. As Thomas moves deeper into the mansion, he needs to solve several puzzles and rescue patients from the bloodthirsty creatures lurking in the dark. Only light, reflected realistically from walls and mirrors, can save him and his family from a grisly end in the dark.

Darkest Fear features 15 challenging levels, each with its own puzzles to solve and hazards to overcome. Intense feeling of angst will test the nerves of even the most jaded player, with shadows constantly acting as a reminder of what you cannot see. One wrong move taken in haste is all takes for you too to get torn to pieces!
