720p 60fps. It doesn't depend on the game. It doesn't depend on the genre. It doesn't depend on the it being single player or multiplayer. It doesn't just depend.

There's only one factor that matters. Only one question two answer. "Is it a video game?" Yes? Then you damn well do everything in your power to make the game 60fps.

If your game is so ambitious (like Gen 6 Shadow of the Colossus/Wind Waker/GTA 3 level ambition) that it can't run at 60fps at 720p, that's one completely understandable thing, but if you think you have a choice between 1080p 30fps, or 720p 60fps, stop, because you don't. 60fps, or bust.

Framerate is always important to me.

720p 60fps

Really neither option is bad, depending on the game, but I believe that framerate is overall more important to a game than resolution. I have played games in sub 720p without a problem, while a game at sub 30fps can be really bad experience.

Depends on the type of game for me, but overall I'd prefer 720P @ 60 fps to 1080 @ 30.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

900p and 60fps should be the target

60fps for competitive type games and genres. 1080p (and higher) for everything else.

The poll results restore a bit of my faith in he gaming community. :)

I'm now filled with determination.

id take 1080p any day as long as its a stable 30 (take a look at COD ghost ps4 vs XB1 comparisons) the only time where i like more frames is racers and in competitive MP

even when i play FPS SP i really dont move or pan fast i like to take it slow and look at the pretty graphics

Depends on the genre to be honest. I prefer racing and fighting games to be 60fps.

720p and 60fps, always.
