essentially im not a patient person when i make up my mind on something i normally just do it, my dsi finally died and i was going to get a 3ds XL but saw that a new one comes out mid feb is it worth the wait and the extra 40$ i added money on it for a new powercord being the one for my DSi is bad.  i can get the current 3ds for 170 with a game vs new 3ds xl for 200 plus 10 for a powercord?  just wondering what yall think?  

Ya I would say it's worth it

Depends really. Like, if ur on a tight budget, imo, not really. I mean, looking at the majority of the games that are coming out, virtually all of them will be playable on the regular 3ds with the exception of Xenoblade which is a downgraded wii port.

But, if you have money lying around and you want just a better overall experience for ur 3ds, then yea, you can go ahead and upgrade or spend the extra cash cause not only is the loading and the wifi faster, you also have a better 3d experience due to the eye tracking camera and more buttons as well as a C-stick

If the 40 dollars really matters to you then I'm sure you will be fine with the regular XL but having played with the New 3DS XL (I'm in Australia), I personally think the New is a no-brainer, for the screen alone.

The other factors to consider are Amiibo/NFC, better battery and the exclusives that the New system will attract.

If you are not interested in playing Xenoblade, having Super Stable 3D, or the improved processing power, then no, it is not worth it. If you ARE interested in all of that and more, then yes it is worth the money, also Gamestop is having a deal where if you trade in your 3DS XL or PSV, you can get 100$ off the New 3DS XL.

I would say unless you really want to play 3DS immediately, it's worth it to wait until February 13th.

Personally, I was thinking about buying a 3DS for Christmas but I decided to wait for the New 3DS mostly because I predict that a lot of new games being developed right now will probably get graphical boosts when played on the New 3DS. The poor resolution and graphics on the 3DS are a sore spot for me and I would like to get the most powerful version of the hardware that I can get.

If you don't have 3DS yet, then YES! Wait! You've waited this long already and the New 3DS has hugely improved 3D, a cool little nub, pretty buttons, faster loading times and at least one exclusive game!

That $100 trade in credit is so tempting. I was hoping to hold out and see if they came out with a white XL with colored buttons like the LL.

IMHO i dont think that extra 40 is worth it, it isnt that much improved. BUT you've waited this long you might as well get the best version you can.
