Forums - Gaming Discussion - Your Best Gaming Deals

Tagged games:

I know we've had threads about this subject in the past (snyps hosted one about two years ago), but I thought the topic timely after I picked up this beauty today:

Metroid Prime Trilogy for only $3.97. I was shocked when I saw it, since GameStop and eBay are currently selling it between $40 and $50.

So, what are your best gaming deals? How did you find them?

Time to make your friends envious

Probably the best deals I've gotten are on accessories. I've gotten stuff like DS3 and WiiU pro controller for under $20

Get Your Portable ID!Lord of Ratchet and Clank

Duke of Playstation Plus

Warden of Platformers

Since Steam changed their currency to Mexican pesos (I'm on Mexico) I've got some sweet deals on it.

At first I was pissed, thought the prices were just a conversion from US Dollars, and considering the USD was becoming expensive, it seemed like a bad move. But then I noticed prices are totally independent from the US store, and usually they are way cheaper considering conversion. The other day I got Skyrim, AC Brotherhood and AC Revelation for around 40 pesos each. That's about $2.7 USD each.

Sure, games that have official retail distribution over here, like Call of Duty, are expensive, going for about 1000 MXN, but luckily I have a fine taste in games and I don't care about that series.

At the beginning of the WiiU lifecycle, one store tried to sell all of its wii games, thinking that the WiiU would sell as well as the Wii. I got Skyward Sword special edition and others for less than 15€, at a time when major retailors were selling it for 45€.

Also, the store quickly put its prices back, because noone was buying WiiU stuff. :(

You know it deserves the GOTY.

This one?

That's a steal!

Other than some pretty great Black Friday deals over the years, I remember picking up the original NBA Street on GC at Target for only $2.54 brand new! The price was listed at $19.99, but for some reason the item scanned at $2.54 at the register, so I didn't say a word and just smiled when I left.

I also picked up a used SEGA Saturn with Nights (which itself goes for about $40-$50 or so on eBay), Virtua Fighter 2, Virtua Cop, and 2 controllers for $20 at a Cash Converters store a few years back. Not a bad deal at all.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

That's an awesome deal on the Saturn :) And NiGHTS is a great game.

Your Target story reminds me: I got Pikmin 2 and Baten Kaitos at Target, each for $13.98 new. Not nearly as good as your $2.54 though :P

4€ - Gravity Rush (December 2014 )

All Steam and G2A.com deals.
