true_fan said: OK so you speak for everyone got it. I don't think anyone buys the kinect for hardcore gaming. It's just a fun peripheral. I can't wait to hear the opinions about morpheus. Whatever MSFT does people will complain, 1st too much focus on kinect and now not enough.
By the way D4 is great with kinect, I enjoyed fantasia, and I recently bought KSR. These games with the voice commands have made it worth it, for me. |
please stop with that nonesense.
kinect is dead because ultimatly MS killed it. how many kinect games were shown at the E3 2014 press confrence? Gamescom? are there more than 10 kinect games out there? serious question.
the problem with kinect is fundimantal. as others said navigating 3D worlds is pretty much a big issue with kinect. and without a nun chuck type controller in hand it has proved to be very problematic. the fact that it still has latency issues renders it unusuable for VR (unless that problem is solved). so as of now, the kinect is dead, it has no good games, nothing on the horizon coming and no real future. the kinect was a dud, it was a very stupid decision from MS to put it with every xbox one. however it shows what MS's orginal vision for the xbox one was, and the audince they targeted. the only saving grace for it is twitch and gameplay streaming, and even for that audince its over priced compared to sony's solution, which can be found for around 40 bucks and basically has the same purpose, but also will be a big part of VR in the future.
MS isnt marketing it, MS isnt making games for it, MS isnt even talking about it. you want to know why all the people who are saying its dead dont have a kinect? because nobody freaking wants one.
