You know it wouldnt surprise if one day incest couples became like gay couples and you wouldnt even be able to even make fun of them because it'd be "wrong".

That would make "coming out" even more tricky because you're confessing sexual desires for a family member. If it's not a 2-way street, SERIOUS awkwardness would occur, and I bet the rate of homeless kids with incest desires would be higher than LGBT teens.

I don't understand why incest is illegal in the first place. I've never understand what's so forbidden about it, given that incest is a must as species when they went from a single pair to a whole ecosystem.

Well, first off that's not how evolution works...

Secondly, a parent child relationship is fundamentally unequal.  There are power dynamics in family relationships, particularly parent child, that make it impossible for them to engage in a relationship as equals.  This situation seems particularly sleezy.

Step 1:  Abandon child to give her abandonment issues.

Step 2:  Come back and show sexual interest in daughter with abandonment issues.

Step 3:  Profit.

I didn't consider that, it's a pretty good point. Especially since she suffered from abandonment issues and depression in her life and then the father is just cool with it while he was also with his girlfriend. The whole situation is just bizarre.

"this or the fact that its legal in New Jersey. "

And why the fuck shouldn't it be legal? What those two is none of your damn business or anyone elses. They're consenting adults not doing anyone any harm.

Actually, assuming (I have not read the article) he is her biological father, they are putting their potential kids very much at heightened risk for genetic diseases.

That's not against the law (at least not here) we don't tell certain disabled people they can't have kids after all. Has nothing to do with them being together and getting married.

This is the only gross thing here, you only care about who you can take the piss out of when what those people do has nothing to do with you and how you live your life.

This thread shows far we've fallen from the days when movies freely called gay people "fagg*ts" (Lethal Weapon, Last Boy Scout) and nobody caring about it to "Who cares if a father wants to marry his biological daughter, its harmless."

Seriously what the hell has happened to people?

Well they're consenting adults, I must admit the situation is kind of strange but whatever, who am I to judge?

Geez, this discussion is taking a direction that I've told myself I'd never go in on this forum (I probably shouldn't have commented in the first place). Have fun guys but I'm out of here.

Well, I guess it's their decision...

I would personally advise anyone in any situation that means their children face a serious chance of a disadvantage or a bleak upbringing not to have kids, but it's not against the law "womens rights to have a baby" and all that.
