Honestly, the car selection blows. Once I saw the lack of American cars. I lost all interest in the game.

No, I haven't trolled at all, but there is always an article about Nintendo or XB1 game flopping, why is there a problem now.

I think the same as i did. Preordered it, amazon special 20 eur, cause of the delay, resold it still packed. Absolutely no interest. I had the feeling it will not be working in the beginning anyway (still suffering of diablo 3 desaster)... and? I was right. And maybe people thought the same.
Oh and dont forget, people do not forget and forgive so easily anymore. Xone is the best example.
