bolded: Wait what?

And it shouldn't really come as a surprise when an Xbox game sells more in the US than in Europe.

4-6 mainline GT games sold more in america.

Need For Speed sells more in america

Forza Sell more in america

Dirt Sells more in Europe

Mari Kart Sells more in America

Burnout sells more in america

Motorstorm sells more in europe

PGR sells more in america

The list goes on but racing is popular in both america and europe.  It isnt exclusive to Europe.

I think you know very well that it's pointless to use games that released years ago to prove a point like that.

Nowadays racing is significantly more popular in Europe than it is in the US.

It's low in the US, but digital sales in Europe are not low (using the only indicator we have: PS store ratings), it has 14k rating on the European PS store, that's more than TLOU:R has, compared to that Driveclub only has about 4k ratings in the US store (vs. 56k ratings for TLOU:R!!)

Thats not really much of an indicator of anything.  the best you could do with that is look for attatch rates on digital which as far as i know is very low in comparison of retail.  Not sure where you would even find that information

Adding to that, isnt DC Europe Bundles Digital codes?

It's literally the only indicator we have. And no, the Driveclub bundle included the retail version.

I assume we are talking the last 5 years then?  Last 5 years Racing still does well in America.  Forza, GT, and Mario Kart are great examples of this.  And you cant say forza sells more in america because its a dominate console in america for two reason.  1 being that both Forza Horizon 1&2 sold more in Europe than in america.  Though theyre doing great i america as well.  #2 PS4 is selling more in America than Xbox and by that math you would think DC would be selling at least as good as Forza Horizon 2.

And thats where the it stands.  Stop making excuses to why DC hasnt sold well in america when other racing games do.  My point isnt that Europe > america or vice versa but that Racing is popular in america.  DC is lucky to have the numbers it has with bundles but when you release a game the way they did, and this goes to MCC as well, its going to hurt sales.

@ other comment.  I see.  Thanks for the clarification.

I never claimed that Driveclub wasn't hurt by its poor launch, it definitely was, but my point still stands, racing is just more popular in Europe than it is in the US.

GT1-4 sold more in america.  But yes GT5 and 6 sold more in europe.  My point is that racing is very relevant in America so lets not act like it isnt

I highly doubt that the digital is that high on Driveclub.  The main reason Driveclub has sold well in general was because it was massively bundled during the holidays in Europe.  If it wasnt for bundling i doubt Driveclub would have done well at all.  It was not recieved well critically, it was majorly broken, and Sony lied about PS+.

And then COD + GOW + Xbox happened.

Didn't I say that already?

EDIT:  Before i jump the gun, what is this even suppose to mean?

With Forza, GT, and upcoming Project Cars....I don't see why many would have been interested in Driveclub anyway when there are titles that do the exact same racing formula better. I didn't expect high sales.

PS2 was dominant Xbox was practically non existant. Hence why there was barely any statistical difference between NA and Europe sales for NA. Once that changed we saw which region racers did better in.

And also I'm saying that I have stated before that driveclub sold really well because it was heavily bundled.
