My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

I think because of digital sales(which means no suppy-issues) and the fact that a lot of people had abandoned the Wii by the time Xenoblade was released there is definite chance that the 3DS-version might sell more

Depends on Japan. It could do over 900k there alone, or the limited user base of the New models could keep it under 400k there, which would be a tough gap for the West to overcome.

I don't really know. It depends on how well Japan receives it. The New 3DS won't have as big of an install base as the regular 3DS, but I think its users will be more active than the Wii's were when the original game launched.

I say maybe.

I wanna say the 3DS since more people are aware of Xenoblade Chronicles thanks to Super Smash Bros, but at the same time, the New 3DS probably won't have that big of an install base by the time Xenoblade comes out, which is two months after the New 3DS's launch.

I can see the 3DS version selling more LT.

This game is going to push New 3ds hardware and upgrades. I'm considering upgrading my 3ds solely for this game to be honest! Unless Nintendo releases it on the Wii U eshop at some point (which would be very dumb on their part...).

There were 100'000,000 Wiis out there. Only 46,000,000 3DSus.

 

But none of that even matters because it's not even on 3DS, it is on New 3DS which like 20,000 people have.

Well, those 100 million couldn't buy Xenoblade, it had a limited release in the US, came out when nobody cared about the Wii in Europe and just nobody cared about it in Japan.

Also, new 3DS is over 1 million sold, might want to check that out.
