What's your favorite movie... that's based on a video game?

I did a little bit of research, and found out that there are NO Hollywood video game-based movies with a Rotten Tomatoes score of more than 50%. Kind of depressing, actually. Not to mention, many of them don't do so well financially, either. 

Of course, that's not to say there aren't any we don't MIND watching from time to time. I'll admit, I own Super Mario Bros. (1993) on VHS. I watch it from time to time, which is why it's my FAVORITE video game-based movie. Why? Simply because it's so terrible, that it's enjoyable to watch.

Anyway, what's your favorite video game-based movie? Keep in mind that movies like Wreck-it-Ralph don't really count, since the movie isn't really based on any particular real-life video game. Happy Posting!

Metal Gear Solid 4.

I actually liked Prince of Persia. No idea why, but I just did.

It's slim pickings, that's for sure.

Wreck-It Ralph is probably the best, but, like you say, that's not based on a real video game.

I'm also in the minority that enjoys Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, although, again, that's not exactly based on a specific game.

Mortal Kombat and Resident Evil Extinction are passable.

I don't know, there are a lot of brutally bad movies based on video games.

SMB movie is also my favorite. Even though I hate almost everything about it, Bob Hoskins makes it worthwhile. Why? Because Bob Hoskins.

I've heard that Silent Hill isn't too bad. Tomb Raider movies are awful but still some of the better ones.

Oh, I forgot about this one. It wasn't half bad. Definitely smarter than the average bear.

How about the best videogame based on a movie based on a videogame? because correct me if i'm wrong, but this is the best one by default
