So, Fallout, dark souls, skyrim and a lot of others rpgs have characters with stupid faces, animations and models, but people are hating xenoblade chronicles x because the game has some "bad faces" totally trying to downgrade the game. let's be real, it's a Nintendo exclusive and that's why they are nitpicking every detail. Just ignore them, btw who cares about faces when you have freaking mechs!

EDIT: I'm specifically talking about the people trying to downgrade the whole game because of the faces. 

Dark Souls 2 faces really were something abysmal. I don't see why I can't criticise Xenoblade for doing the same! (?)

Pretty much, yeah.

A lot of this stuff can be chalked up to outgroup theory; with Nintendo's approach to gaming being ostensibly different from that of Sony and Microsoft (and Sony and Microsoft's approach being relatively similar to one another), Nintendo attracts a larger amount of criticism for anything it does.

That's true but I do think that the faces are okay to the point of not affecting the overall game experience very much. And the only reason people are whining about it is cause they got nothing else to whine about

The problem is the world itself looks so beautiful. The art direction, the lighting, the monsters, and the varied environments look so incredibly detailed that when you have something as mediocre as those faces they stick out like sore thumbs. It's more shocking that they are that way when the rest of the game is so above it.

I'll have to get used to it as I don't think much will change, but again, it is sad to see.

I also thought the faces of the original Xenoblade were awful when I first played it. But guess what: I ended up liking them. They had something special I can really describe.

well they do look bad but really it does not bother me neither do I see it as something to complain about but some people just exist to complain even though they won't buy that specific product or have any interest in it at all. It's like the NDS with no charger, people complain like it's a big thing for them when they really don't care about Nintendo products

This game should be a good appetizer until the FFXV main course and the Persona 5 dessert.
