Forums - Gaming Discussion - When will PS4 have a price cut?

Its been over a year, and the Xbox one will habe its price cut to 349 (Jan 16). But does this mean the PS4 will follow, or will it simply ride off at 399. Personally, I don't see a price cut till at least the end of the year, and the only two major games that have release days so far are the order 1886 and Bloodborne (tell me if I'm missing something, and these are major exclusives by it'll affect sales). So january is going to be hard to predict, Feb and March may edge out for the PS4 because of bloodborne and Order 1886, though even then I'm not quite sure (titanfall for example). Anyway tell me when you think PS4 will have a price cut, like I said I think it'll be late 2015.

Yea, I think it will get a price cut around October-November cause with the x1 being back to $399. There is no real reason for Sony to cut the price till then

When sales begin to slump. For XBO that happened almost immediately which is why they had a price drop as early as March. PS4 is still dominating worldwide so there's not much reason for a price cut. At least not for a while. But I'm sure it'll be cheaper by the holidays.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Late summer, maybe announced at Gamescom.

May 2015 it will be $300

Sony has a lot of room to maneuver, they can always bunddle some first party game which they are owning. I dont see any price cut for this year espacially as neither the competion does anymore.

Bundles before pricedrop. If production = sell through then no price drop this year.

The PS5 Exists.

Maybe during the Summer, but I doubt we'll get a price cut anytime soon unless XB1 unit sales pass PS4.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Both Xone and Ps4 will drop to 300$ at E3 2015.
