You are forgetting that they aren't just saving 50 cents by excluding it, they also make a few dollars for selling them separately.

true, true. i still am of the opinion that the monitary value to nintendo is not worth it compared to the brand damage of unhappy customers. you could take the wii to wiiU transition as a for instance. happy customers are returning customers. unhappy customers are not.

Entirely possible they just gave me a box that they were using the ac adapter from for the display piece or something similar then. Funny though, at the time I just assumed it was their way of cutting costs. Also, since we already have 4 chargers from Apple, didn't think it was a big deal. I just changed out one of the older cords with the lightning cord on an adapter and off I went.

Wouldn't really effect me either as I already had one, but for first time customers it would be an inconvenience. That's really what this whole thing is about. Well, maybe people who do trade ups too since those usually require the adapter, which would leave you without one.

Here in Argentina we can't use those things anyway because we buy the American 3DS. And it runs at 110V. So we need to buy a "transformador" so we can run it at 220v....

So yeah I don't care, I'm used to getting fucked in the ass.

They should sell the stylus separately too. So many people have one from the ds, dsi, 3ds, 3ds xl. They don't need to include one.

It's not a huge problem in terms of practicality, a small percentage of buyers will be caught out and have to buy one separately.

The penny-pinching nature of it though... it just looks bad. For the company and the product.

I'm cool with it. It's kind of like buying an Xbone with Kinect forced on you when you don't need it or want it. If my Xbone breaks I'm not going to buy another Xbone with a Kinect. Why pay for junk you don't need? Also Nintendo is trying to go green and save the planet. Stop hating.
