138K for Wii U for the final week of the year is pretty decent.

PS3 above 100K, probably for the last time ever.

PS4/Xb one USA gap is almost exactly 600K. With the price for Xb one going back to $349 expect that gap to be whittled down to nothing. Also I expect MS to maintain a $50 price gap permanently. If PS4 it cut to $349 expect Xb one to drop to $299 very soon after. This is the way MS will get itself in front of PS4 in the USA.

It's not so simple as you're making it seem. XB1 won't have any holiday boost or gift cards to go along with the $50 price cut. I imagine the AC bundle will be sold out soon too. TLoU PS4 bundle should keep sales steady for the first half of the year. PS4 also has a lot games being released over the next few months. I think PS4 will sell more every month.

The PS3 can still get a price drop to increase sales

WOW, Wii U above 50,000 in the US, and above 30,000 in Europe!
I have expect 35,000/40,000 in the US and 30,000 in Europe, that is good in my opinion!

Yeppp. People wouldn't celebrate overall marketshare when there's still a ways to go (at least, I hope they wouldn't). The X1 definitely ate into that a bit, but by the end of 2015, I expect the PS4 to achieve it, overall.

Don't wait downward adjustments for wii u,probably upward adjustments!

Nintendo shipped 1.95m last year,wii u is at 7.29m shipped as of 27th September!Sales of wii u have been significantly improved worldwide ,except Japan where they were considerably down!

Nintendo if has't outshipped the same quarter last year,at least(worst scenario) they must have shipped the same amount!So 1.95m+7.29m=9.24m(SHIPPED AS OF 27TH DEC)...9.24m-8.9m(VGC)=324k on the shelves,pretty logical for wii u and even more than enough...

WiiU had almost 100% sellthrough on that shipment and since I don't remember any adjustments for that and looking at Ps4 that was almost 1M overtracked (even when being undertracked at that period) makes me expect it...

 

About it being higher yoy for the quarter what non-vgc evidence do we have?

 

About units on shelves, you forgot there are also units between Nintendo warehouse and stores still travelling? So 500k on christmas wouldn't be impossible.

 

I think WiiU is around 8.5 and x1 10.5 but can't prove or disprove and since not Nintendo nor MS will show sold through (and ms probably will show mixed shipped) we can only speculate. But bishop hinted at X1 1M overtracked, do you think only WiiU was imune to vgc otimism on holidays? WiiU posted very merry numbers.

PS4 is #5 and Xbone is #15 despicte the fact to be $50 less expensive.

The price drop hasn't even been in effect for more than a few hours.

Also LoL at those people who bought loads of Xb ones at cheap price hoping to make a quick buck when the price goes back up. They'll be stuffed if they haven't re-sold them by now.
