What is it with calling black people african americans?

Not all blacks people are african americans

If you call them blacks (zwarte) it is racist in The Netherlands perhaps the same counts for the US

Yeah, calling them "Blacks" is racist. But i didnt suggest that.

I was only saying that not all black people are "african-american"

And many people who are "african-american" are white.

Calling a black person black isn't racist in the US, but by the left wing media its considered politically incorrect. I just consider myself a guy, just like any other with my own individual mind, but still a social being just like everyone here ...hence my existence on this site.

Just like the term "race" amongst humanity, the term African-American is a social construct. Let me prove this to you. What happens if a natural born person from Africa who isn't black moves to America and decides to become a citizen....wouldn't you still call that non-black person African-American...if the term is being used correctly?

Thats the problem...there is a flaw with labels. They arent as fluid as one might think. When we can accept that we're human with different ethnic backgrounds and cultures, we can sooner move forward into the future.

I always found it strange that black people are called "African Americans" but white people aren't called "European Americans".

Well the only unbiased scientific differences I can think of are penis size, natural athletic ability, and prone-ness to certain diseases (black people are more likely to get sickle cell anemia)....

The rest of the differences I think come down to culture and how you are raised. There's no reason a black kid can't become a lawyer or doctor just as well as a white man, and no reason a white kid can't hit the gym every day and become as athletic as a black man.

I wrote my thesis on roman perceptions of blacks and whether or not racism exists in roman society. I refered to black people as "zwarten", it's not racist.

Romans had many different ways of refering to black people. One term is Aithiopes which comes from ancient Greek and litteraly means "burned face". Another is melanogaetuli which means "black Gaetuli" (Gaetuli were an ancient Berber tribe in modern day Morocco). Egyptian was often used as a synonym for black as well. And yes, ancient Egyptians were considered black by Romans and Greeks. The people of the ancient kingdom of Mauri were called Mauros in Latin, which comes from the ancient Greek word for black, dark. The english word Moor has its origins here.

Describing someone by his skin color is not racist by itself.

Yep, I spent a whole chapter in my thesis defining terms as race (which is a social construct as you say). Instead of using "race" in my thesis I decided to opt for "somatic type" which I think is a much more neutral term.

One has brown skin and the other has pale skin burns in the sunlight. So whites are clearly different in that we are creatures of the night. Nocturnals.

Oh God! Us whites are vampires!

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Intelligence, aggression, physiology, etc. There are huge differences, and we all know it.

Care to explain this?

I would say culture, but that doesn't exactly have to do with their skin colour at all, but just from where they come from. I don't know if there are a lot of significant biological differences.

Just because there are obvious cultural differences that effect intelligence and temperament does not mean there are not biological differences as well. Liberals just want to assume everyone is born equal, but evolution suggests that that is not the case.

As an example, imagine an isolated population that for several thousand years has highly valued education and learning. The individuals who will be the most esteemed in this society and therefore the most likely to have children and pass on their genetic traits will be the most intelligent members. Over time, this skews the average member of this society towards higher intelligence. Notice that this change is driven by culture, but also has a lasting genetic effect independent of culture. And such a group does in fact exist - the Jews. And no surprise, Jews are by many standardized measures such as iq among the most intelligent populations on earth with a disproportionate number of Nobel prize winners etc. part of this is culture, but genetics are just as important.
