Actually the same principals is still the same, (bringing the Syariah law) but the way current faction  do is different nowdays, at least the terorisme is the wrong way to achieve it.

caliphate never promote secularisme for "Muslim" but they given the freedom for other religion living under their culture, and yes they were multy culture and respected other religious movement.

Well, technically speaking, people of other faiths weren't given the freedom to practice as they saw fit, they had to pay a tax for it, dhimma I believe it was called?  Still, it was certainly far more progressive than most relations back in the day.

Funny. As far as i know there isn't one syariah law but many versions. It seems that Mohammeds followers where somewhat practical and used many regional laws/traditions for different versions of their religious laws. At least that is what most theologists say.

As for muslims, i dont care about someones religion. There live many muslims over here. Most of them speaking perfect german and having a 'normal' live with some religious rules.

If you mean tax (dhimma), that was just only tax and even Muslim have to pay, They allow almost every religion to live, except  a religion that bring harm to another religion or faith. Even the caliphate treat or punish Muslim as equal with the death sentence

Honestly it's what's needed, to show everyone that Political Islam and Islam are two different things. More Muslims need to speak out on this matter, because it's not like that many of them really like political islam (don't get me wrong, most Muslims are probably pro-Sharia, but a milder interpretation of it, for instance the destruction of music instruments, owned by Muslims, in Mali by the radicals when they took power).
