While its not his fault, being the captain helds him responsable.

It's not like he played 100% until the last minute, he was just as awful as the rest of the team.

Neuer would have gotten my vote... But Kun Aguero REALLY dented his chances of winning (really... 3 goals?) and proved that he was also human. Ronaldo has a team of great ball handlers and passer around him, and with his dead eye accuracy and strong kicks the team is CLEARLY build around him. Not to mention a good part of his goals come from penalties. This should count against him. My vote goes with Messi...

But if you are just looking at stats and not between the lines... Then Ronaldo is your clear winner...

I don't think Neuer should win because while he is without a doubt the best keeper in the world I honestly believe that both Germany and Bayern would have won the same trophies without him. On the other hand Madrid/Barca and Portugal/Argentina would be significantly weaker without Ronaldo and Messi. I just don't think Neuer has as much impact as Ronaldo and Messi.

Wouldn't be upset if he wins though still a great player.

Ronaldo should win but then again both Neuer and Messi were much better in WC. Then again, they have much better teams around them there.

@Talal. Neuer became a defender in a few matches in the WC. That's why I think he deserves to win.

Messi's "bad" performance last year is soooo exaggerated. 

Ronaldo scored 61 with 5 less games. So yeah Ronaldo did better, but it's not the day and night difference everyone wants to believe.

My guess is Ronaldo due to winning CL, but could see Messi taking it. Be pleasantly surprised if Neuer did pull it off.
