I was out of town when the Wii U launched, but I rushed home and picked it up quickly enough that I basically got it at launch. I do regret it, because Pikmin 3 was delayed far into the next year and overall I've been disappointed with the library. Getting it one or two years later at these ridiculous bundle prices would have made me feel a lot better about it.

Wii launch day, I worked at Gamecrazy and was able to reserve one of the only three or four the store got. That was a damn good day, and the only other time I got a system at launch.

Judging by the industry's inability to give us a lot of great launch titles, I kind of doubt I'll get a game at launch ever again, unless it's for my kids or something. I tried to capture that excitement with the Wii U, but ended up getting burned.

Wii U. Probably the reason I won't ever buy a NIntendo or any other console day one.

Why did I get a PS4 at day 1? I could have stayed with PS3 but I wanted to play the best version of the latest games.

The 3DS, and I'm quite lucky that it ended up having a good library of games because it was quite a blind purchase.

PS2 is the only system I bought day one, waited outside in line all night for that thing. Initial games were crap (aside from Tekken Tag Tournament), but it was also a replacement PS1 and my first DVD player, so definitely worth it.

Wii U, Wii, 3DS Vita (my first one) ,and PS4.

Just PS4. Probably could've gotten it later as there have been some times where I've still been primarily on PS3 (mainly this past Summer) but I don't regret it. I like to play things as they come out and not have a backlog and playing BF4 and AC4 on next gen was significantly better than their old gen counterparts. I also wouldn't have waited past Infamous release (being one of my favorite series ever) and it didn't reduce in price or anything so it wouldn't have saved anything money wise.

None. Never had the spare cash, PS4 7 months after is as close as I got. Almost bought a Vita day one but lost interest around launch.

None, The console that I got remotely close to launch was ps4 and that was an unexpected gift from my father in law after he saw me how hyped I was for a ps4, I got it in December, one month later.

PS4 is my first day 1 purchase.

I had a PS1 and MGS was my favorite game. So if I wanted more MGS I had to get a PS2, then a PS3. Now MGS is multiplatform but I'm really into Naughty Dog's games and other PS exclusives.
