I agree, Wii U took a while for it to go from Good to Amazing
Wii U, only for Pikmin 3 in the beginning, in the time when the game was supposed to release in the first quarter.
My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.
The last console I bought Day 1 was the GC (didn't get to open it until Christmas though)
Before that it was the N64, and I got the SNES about a month after its release in the US.

None, but I got the PS4 2 months after release and the X1 a month after the PS4.
Wii U, 3DS, PS4 and Vita. I tried to with the Wii, but with the whole shortages things, I ended up getting it 2 months after it released.
PS1 on 9/9/1995.
That was the only one.
