Forums - Movies & TV - Rumor: Batman vs Superman movie split in two parts?

I expect the movie to dissapoint anyway to be honest, so i doubt that many people will be interested in the second part.

"Enter The Knight"? I'm sure that name won't be abused online at all... :p

Anyway, i really don't see the point in this. I can (vaguely) understand the justification of doing it with a book, providing said book has enough meat to it to make 2 entertaining films, but how do they justify it here? Besides the obvious.

Exactly.

So if the first one bombs, then what?

I'd rather not have another 3 hour film and sometimes there are reasons to split the films (the Avengers 3 may be split for contractual reasons too)

But aren't we already getting enough comic book films...

Hell, why not make it three? And base it all on one issue of a comic.

I see what you did there

The Dark Knight Returns animated movie was split into two parts too and was much better for it imo

This movie looks more and more like mess every time news about it appear.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Right there with you, I went to iMax to see Man of Steel and as a HUGE fan of the character is was pure dissapointment, I am considering skipping this one on theaters and rent it later unless a few on my friends give it the thumbs up.

I went to Superman Retuns the night it launched at the local Imax.  The opening credits pulled me in with the throwback music from the original Superman movies.  I left the theatre mostly dissapointed.

I went to MOS at a local theatre but paid $2 or $3 more to see it on their "super" screen.  It too was only OK and I left a little dissapointed(not as much as Superman Returns).

I will get sucked into the Hype for this movie too.  I will see it on either Imax or the Super screen.  Will I leave dissapointed?  Probably.  People spend so much time waiting for these movies to finally come out, the movie doesn't really stand much of a chance.

I still hope that it turns out good, but I will be surprised if I actually really like it.

It is near the end of the end....
